I am a visual journalist based in beautiful Bellingham, Washington. I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember, starting with blurry summer camp photos.

 

Over the last few years, I have been able to turn my hobby into a career through freelance photography work and shooting/writing for the newspaper and magazine at Western Washington University.

My goal with portrait photography is to help people feel confident by providing them with photos they love. In my journalism work, it's incredibly rewarding to cover events and stories that share the experiences of individual people along with an overarching issue or story.
